Take the “Caine’s Arcade” Global Cardboard Challenge

Have you seen Caine’s Arcade 2, the incredible follow-up film to Caine’s Arcade? Check it out to learn more about what Caine is up to today and how YOU can help the Imagination Foundation find, foster, and fund creativity and entrepreneurship in kids.

On October 6, 2012, the Imagination Foundation will launch by hosting the first annual Global Cardboard Challenge. The Challenge will bring together the young and the young at heart from all over the world to build, play, and celebrate creativity and community as thousands, together, use cardboard to build whatever they can imagine. During the first week of October (or on Saturday, October 6), kids all over the world will use cardboard and other recycled materials to build a cardboard creation – an arcade, a robot, a plane, whatever they want – and then come together for a day of play on October 6.

ProSocial worked with the Imagination Foundation to bring on some amazing partners to join the effort: YMCA of the USA, Big Brothers Big Sisters, SparkTruck, Kaboom!, Children Now and others are empowering children and communities to participate in the Global Cardboard Challenge. So far, the new film has 1 million hits on YouTube and there are 200 events scheduled in over 25 countries around the world. And this is just the first year!

How can you can help?
Help spread the word, organize an event, attend an event in your area or build a cardboard creation yourself! Visit www.cardboardchallenge.com for more information on how to participate and join the thousands of others all over the world in a day of play on October 6.
