The Purpose Challenge Has Launched!

Back in July, we told you we were working on an innovative philanthropic initiative aimed at high school students. Now, the Purpose Challenge is live and online at purposechallenge.org. A partnership between ProSocial and UC Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center, with support from the John Templeton Foundation, the project draws on decades of research into the roots and benefits of purpose, which is linked with health, longevity, success, and life satisfaction.

Designed for high school seniors, the Purpose Challenge helps students reflect on and refine their purpose through a series of activities incorporating video content, reading materials, and brief written exercises, such as imagining your ideal life at age 40. Teens can then inject their enhanced sense of purpose in their college application essay and submit that essay for a chance to win up to $25,000 for college.

The scholarship contest is open to eligible high school seniors until February 1, 2018. Check out the Purpose Challenge and pass it on to parents, educators, and high schoolers you know!
